中南财经政法大学工商管理学院于1999年4月8日由原工业经济系、贸易经济系和国民经济管理系组建而成，农业经济系于2001年加入工商管理学院，目前下设工商管理系、贸易与营销管理系、管理科学系、旅游管理系等四个教学组织和企业管理、产业经济学、国际商务、农村发展、技术经济管理五个研究所，设有电子商务、商品养护、农业技术、物流管理和现代技术五个实验室。学院已形成体系齐全、优势互补、特色突出的专业门类。拥有工商管理一级学科点一个；并设有工商管理和应用经济学博士后流动站；企业管理、产业经济学、国际贸易学、市场营销、技术经济与管理和旅游管理六个专业拥有博士学位授予权；企业管理、产业经济学、国际贸易学、市场营销、农业经济管理、旅游管理和技术经济管理七个专业拥有硕士学位授予权；工商管理、贸易经济、国际经济与贸易、市场营销、旅游管理、人力资源管理、管理科学、农林经济管理、电子商务、物流管理等十个专业招收本科生。
　　 学院已形成一支在国内外有影响、结构合理的教学科研队伍。现有教职工130名，其中专任教师106名，党政教辅人员24名。在专任教师队伍中，教授26名，副教授43名，讲师33名，助教4名；享受国务院政府津贴教授6名，享受湖北省政府津贴教授1名，3名教授被评为省部级跨世纪学术带头人，3名教授被评为财政部跨世纪学科（学术）带头人培养对象。拥有李贤沛、彭星闾、邬义钧、余鑫炎等知名度高、学术造诣深的老专家学者。在他们的带动下，万后芬、汪海粟、郭跃进、李晓丹、胡立君、张新国、陈池波、熊胜绪、张建民、叶全良、严立冬、黄汉民、张相文、任剑新、张光忠、张开华、王益松等一批中青年教授已在各自研究领域崭露头角。
　　 学院将继续保持和提升在企业管理、产业经济学、国际贸易学、市场营销、农业经济管理等研究领域的优势地位和作用，合理配置学科资源，充分整合师资优势，不断拓展相关边缘学科和交叉学科的科学研究，加大对外学术交流的力度，加强与企业的良好合作和成果转化工作。自2001年至今，共发表各类学术论文2230余篇，出版学术专著80余部，获省部级以上奖励43项，已完成省部级以上课题20余项；目前在研纵向、横向科研课题40余项，其中国家自然科学基金项目6项，国家社科基金1项，国家博士后科学基金项目1项，教育部规划项目3项。有10余名教授担任企业顾问或独立董事。
　　 学院加强与国外和港澳台地区高校之间的交流与合作。目前已与日本福岛大学、越南国民经济大学、澳大利亚南昆士兰大学、美国罗德岛大学、乌克兰基辅经贸大学及台湾淡江大学、香港理工大学等高校保持有长期稳定的学术交流与合作关系。
　　 学院注重学生的素质教育和能力培养，充分调动学生的积极性和主动性，发挥学生的开拓精神和创造性，全院学生一次就业率达95%，部分专业学生一次就业率达100%。多年来，学院为社会培养了一大批德才兼备的各层次专业技术人才，他们在实际岗位上取得了良好的工作业绩和经济效益。目前有在读博士生119名、硕士生435名、本科生3180名。 
 

Introduction to School of Business Administration

    The School of Business Administration , incorporated of former Department of Industrial Economics, Department of Trade Economics, and Department of National economic management. was founded on April 8, 1999. The Department of Agricultural Economics joined it in 2001. At present the school has such four teaching organizations as Department of Business Administration, Department of Trade and Marketing Management, Department of Management Science, and Department of Tourism Management, such five research institutes as Enterprise Management, Industrial Economics, International Business, Countryside Development, and Technical Economics and Management, and such five laboratories as E-commerce , Goods Maintenance , Agricultural Technology, Logistics Management and Modern Technology. The school has already formed professional classes with a complete system, complementary advantages, and outstanding characteristics. It owns one primary discipline of business administration and the post doctoral programs of business administration and applied economics. The school is authorized to confer doctor's degrees to the 6 programs of Enterprise Management, Industrial Economics, International Trade, Marketing, Technical Economics and Management, and Tourism Management. Master's degrees are offered to the 7 programs of Enterprise Management, Industrial Economics, International Trade, Marketing, Agricultural Economics and Management, Tourism Management, and Technical Economics and Management. Bachelor's degrees are offered to 10 programs of Business Administration, Trade and Economics, International Trade, Marketing, Tourism Management, Human Resources Management, Management Science, Agricultural Economics and Management, E-commerce, and Logistics Management.
    The school has formed a teaching and research team with a rational structure and influence at home and abroad. It owns now 130 faculty, including 106 full-time teachers and 24 administrators, among which there are 26 professors, 43 associate professors, 33 lecturers, and 4 assistant lecturers. 6 professors are entitled to Government Allowance granted by the State Council, and 1 professor has been awarded the Government Allowance of Hubei Province. 3 professors have been accredited Academic Forerunners of the New Century at the ministerial and provincial level. Another 3 professors have been made the candidates of Academic Forerunners of the New Century by the Ministry of Finance.
    The School will proceed to maintain and upgrade the superior strength and function in the research fields of Enterprise Management, Industrial Economics, International Trade, Marketing, Agricultural Economics and Management, take full advantages of disciplinary resources and superior teaching forces, expand the research of relevant frontier disciplines and overlapping disciplines, broaden the academic exchange with foreign universities, strengthen the cooperation with enterprises and the transformation of scientific fruits. During the recent 5 years, over 2230 theses and 80 monographs have been published, which won 43 awards at the ministerial and provincial level. 20 scientific projects have been conducted at the ministerial and provincial level. Presently, more than 40 cooperative scientific projects are being conducted, 5 of which are sponsored by the State Natural Science Fund, 1 is sponsored by the State Social Science Fund, 1 is sponsored by the State Post Doctorate Fund, and 3 are planned projects of the Ministry of Education. More than 10 professors work as consultants for enterprises or as independent directors.
     In the fields of international academic exchange, the school has developed a worldwide cooperative research and academic exchange relationship with the universities and research institutions in foreign countries and Hong Kong , Macao , and Taiwan area.
     The school pays great attention to quality-oriented education and ability training, fully arouses students' enthusiasm and initiative, and calls students' spirit of pioneer and creativity into play. The employment rate of students in our school is up to 95%, with some majors even to 100%. In the past years, the school has trained for the society a large quantity of professional technicians of every level with both good ability and virtue. They have made great working achievements and economic benefits on their post. The school now enroll 119 doctorial students, 435Master students and 3180 undergraduates.
